São Paulo – Registrations are open for the workshop “Trademarks and Patents International Protection”, with the attorney expert in the field of Intellectual Property and senior partner of Souto, Correa, Cesa, Lummertz & Amaral Advogados, Mariana Vicentini Taylor. The event will take place on August 21, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the auditorium of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in Paulista Avenue, São Paulo.
The workshop will discuss issues such as trademark definition, protection systems, international agreements and trademark applications and local and international marks. According to Taylor, the workshop will offer information to representatives of companies that wish to export products and even expand and open branches in other countries, protecting their trademarks in each one of them.
“I’ll offer an overview on how a process work to protect a trademark in each country, what are the needed analysis, the costs, and I will also discuss agreements such as the Madrid System [which aims to streamline red tape and cut costs for trademark protection], which Brazil should join until the end of the year,” explained the attorney.
