São Paulo – RAK Ceramics, an enterprise based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, will be an exhibitor at Expo Revestir, a flooring and tiling show set to run from March 3rd to 6th at São Paulo’s Transamérica Expo Center. The company is the world’s leading ceramic tile manufacturer.
RAK Ceramics specializes in ceramic flooring and tiling items and makes tiles, roof tiles and bathware. The company’s output exceeds 360,000 square metres a day for roof tiles and 12,000 units for bathware. The company posts global revenues in the US$ 1 billion range and supplies over 160 countries, with manufacturing units in the UAE, China, Sudan, Bangladesh, India and Iran.
“The Middle East is one of the world’s leading consumers of ceramic tiles. For the past few years RAK Ceramics has graced Expo Revestir with its presence, attesting to the fair’s prominence, since the company is the worldwide industry leader,” says Lauro Andrade Filho, director of the exhibition and the International Architecture and Construction Forum held in parallel.
The fair will feature over 235 exhibitors from Brazil and abroad. Aside from the Emirati company, Expo Revestir will feature exhibitors from Italy, Colombia, Korea, Japan, the Czech Republic, Spain, Argentina, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany and Israel. According to the organizers, 40 exhibiting companies will be from abroad. Additionally, importers are expected from 52 countries and the expo should welcome 51,000 visitors, including architects, interior designers, resellers and developers.
Expo Revestir will feature ceramic items, sanitary ware, kitchen and bathroom metalware, ornamental stones, laminates, wood, mosaics, cement tiles, glass tiles, industry machinery, inputs, and special solutions. Organizers are expecting the amount of deals to be 3% to 5% higher than in last year’s edition.
In tandem with the fair, the International Architecture and Construction Forum will take place, addressing a bevy of subjects relating to interior design, construction, architecture and others. Lectures will be delivered by world-renowned speakers of the likes of Pritzker-winning architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. The award is considered the Nobel Prize of architecture.
