São Paulo – Leaders of North Africa and Middle East countries will meet on Saturday (28th) and Sunday (29th) for the 26th annual summit meeting of the Arab League. The meeting will be held at the beach city of Sharm-el-Sheikh, in Egypt, and will present economy and security as main the main issues, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Among the meeting attendees, the head of the delegation of the United Arab Emirates, ruler of the emirate of Fujairah, Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), and the Yemeni president, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The website of the Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram says Hadi arrived in Egypt this Friday (27th), coming from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he sought refuge after opposing militants took control of the palace in South Yemen in which he resided, following the capture of the capital, Sanaa. A coalition of ten Arab countries is taking part in attacks against the government’s opponents to retake occupied areas.
