Kuwait City – This Friday (27), attendees of the conference Arab Women and Corporate Social Responsibility in the Arab Countries have called for governments and parliaments of the region to ensure compliance with the laws that are in accordance with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) regarding gender equality.
The conference took place over the past two days in Kuwait City (pictured) and was themed “Arab Women in International Organizations: Status and Empowerment,” Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
In a statement released at the end of the meeting, participants called for the empowerment of women, the adoption of the principle of efficiency in selections for jobs and promotions, women in positions of power, and female involvement in decision-making and the planning of sustainable development strategies.
