São Paulo – New year, new language. Enrolments are open at the Arabic Language Center (Centro da Língua Árabe) in São Paulo for two summer courses in January. The crash course for beginners covers the classical variety of Arabic, including the alphabet, reading, writing, basic conversation, and the culture of Arab countries. This course will be taught from January 14 to February 14, from Monday to Thursday, at two different times: 9 am-11 am and 7 pm-9 pm.
The crash course in conversation is intended for students who have a notion of the language. It covers Syrian-Lebanese colloquial Arabic, including basic conversations, spoken language, accents and expressions, as well as the culture of Arab countries. Classes will take place from Jan 14 to Feb 14, Monday to Friday, from 11 am-1 pm and 7 pm-9 pm. The courses are also available in eight Saturday classes, from January 12 to March 2, from 10 am to 1 pm or 3 pm to 6 pm.
The weekday course costs BRL 600 and the Saturday course goes for BRL 450. A “combo” option (weekdays + Saturdays) is also available, for BRL 900. Instalment payment is available for an additional cost.
