São Paulo – Vitoria Stone Fair/Marmomac Latin America, the decorative stone, architecture and building expo, will have Arab exhibitors and visitors. The expo will begin on Thursday (7) at exhibition center Carapina Centro de Eventos, in Serra, Espírito Santo, featuring 300 exhibitors from Brazil and 15 other countries.
The Arab exhibitor is Modern Marble, hailing from Cairo, Egypt. It sells marble and granite in Egypt and elsewhere, according to its website. Modern Marble will be at stand 143 A, Pavilion 2. This is the company ’s first time at the fair.
Visitors from three other Arab countries – the UAE, Qatar and Lebanon – will also attend. They were invited under the expo’s Buyers Club program as part of a group of 100 importers from 18 different countries. Besides attending the trade show, they will visit marble and granite ’ manufacturing facilities in the state of Espírito Santo.
The expo’s press liaisons said that the Buyers Club program brings in well-established, reputed international stone buyers. Interstar Marble Industries LLC will represent the UAE, and Ultimate Stones will represent Lebanon. Qatar will be at the expo by way of its Embassy in Brazil.
The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will also be at Vitória Stone Fair. The Arab Chamber’s Sales Advisor, João Bianchini, will find out what’s new in stone production in Brazil to share information with Arab market players.
The expo runs until Sunday (10) and will feature stones, machinery, inputs, stone production processes and new technologies. It is known for presenting the latest innovations and trends in marble, granite and quartzite and all related natural materials.
The expo also features special exhibitions such as Stone Collection, showcasing trends and innovations, and ‘Original Design with Brazilian Stones’, focusing on furniture and interior decoration, organized by the Brazilian Dimension Stone Industry Association (Abirochas) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
Events simultaneous with the expo will include the Archathon Vitoria Stone Fair, a creative workshop for architects and designers that will award the best project using ornamental stones. Vitoria Stone Fair/Marmomac Latin America is organized by Milanez & Milaneze, an arm of the Veronafiere group, and is promoted by the Espírito Santo Ornamental Stone, Lime and Limestone Industry Union (Sindirochas) and the Marble and Granite Technology Center (Cetemag).
