The president of Brazil said in Ramallah that the US government’s irritation with Isreal due to new settlements ‘may be a magical thing that was lacking for the agreement’ with Palestine.

The president was met by Palestinians and Brazilians of Palestinian origin who waved Brazilian flags. To him, the street symbolises a meeting point between both peoples.
The idea was placed today by businessman Fernando de Arruda Botelho, a shareholder at Camargo Correa. According to him, Brazil is lacking engineers and Palestine has unemployed professionals.

Days before travelling to the Middle East, the president of Brazil said that ‘the world is lacking governance’ and defended direct negotiation between leaders of countries in conflict in the region.
Lula is travelling to Israel, Palestine and Jordan in the company of a trade delegation. To him, the result of these missions ‘has been extraordinary’. Brazil may help in the development of Palestine.
The government of Brazil may promote programs for cooperation with both countries, which showed interest in Brazilian policies during a ministerial meeting in Brasília.
The cooperation plan was ratified by ministers of both regions in Brazilian capital Brasília. It forecasts the establishment of a site with best practices in the social area and training seminars.
On the Brazilian side, the group will be led by the Chamber’s president, Salim Schahin, and on the Syrian, by businessman Tarif Akhras, according to Ghassan Obeid, of the Syrian embassy in Brasília.
Visit of businessmen and government officials from the emirate will take place in the first half. The goal is to encourage different types of business deals, such as exports, imports and investment.
