The vice president at the Federation of Industries of the Brazilian Federal District, Ricardo Caldas, stated that the local industry is going to help Brazil and Saudi Arabia to boost their trade. He spoke during the opening of business roundtables last Thursday, in the Brazilian capital Brasília, between businessmen from the city and the Arab country. Saudi Arabia is the second largest importer of products made in the Federal District.
The decision was made during the visit of a Saudi trade mission to the southeastern Brazilian city of São Paulo. The delegation, comprised of 16 businessmen, arrived last weekend in São Paulo and is in the Brazilian capital Brasília today. The creation of the business council should help promote business between the two countries.
