The Brazilian company from the state of São Paulo started five years ago their sales to the Middle East and North Africa. Exports to the region are still small, but are increasing. Dori exports 20% of their monthly production of 7,000 tonnes of candies and sweets. The main markets are the countries in Latin America, North America and Africa.
Eyeing the high consumption volume of the product in the region, the company Clarim, from the Brazilian southern state of Paraná, will show their lines of mate and green tea, including the aromatised varieties, with oranges, lemon, cinnamon, peach and guaraná. The company has the whole production process, from planting to industrialisation.
The Egyptians exported 148 tonnes of the product to the Brazilian market between January and July this year. It is the greatest quantity sold to Brazil in the last ten years and represented 8.5% of the total imported by the country in the period. The dehydrated onion is used as a spice or ingredient in industrial condiments.
Positivo Informática, a company from the city of Curitiba, in the state of Paraná, started exports of educational equipments, the E-Blocks, to the Middle East. The company sold 50 units to Lebanon, at US$ 35,000. In the evaluation of the exports manager, Juliano Fontes, business in the region is promising.

Exports of more than 30,000 steers from the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul to Lebanon called the attention of other Arab importers. According to Elmar Carlos Hadler, president at the city of Pelotas Rural Association, which gathers the supplying farmers, after sales started in the beginning of the year, another two trading companies, from Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, are interested in importing.
At Motexha, trade fair in the fashion field to take place in September, the company Alchemy, from the Brazilian city of Limeira, will participate for the first time at an event abroad. The company started prospecting the market in the region two months ago. However, they already sell to countries in Europe and the Americas.
