São Paulo – Eletrobrás/Procel, the National Confederation of Industries (CNI) and Petrobras/Conpet launched yesterday (27) the 2007 edition of the National Conservation and Rational Use of Energy Award – in the Industry category. The regulations and the process for choice of the winners were presented to the 27 industrial federations in the country at the CNI headquarters.
The National Conservation and Rational Use of Energy Award has been granted since 1994 and its objectives are to motivate several agents in the society to develop projects aimed at rational and efficient use of energy. Apart from Industry, the award is also granted every year to companies in the energy and press sectors, to micro, small and medium companies and to public organizations.
The companies interested in competing may enrol through the Procel (http://www.eletrobras.com/procel), CNI (http://www.cni.org.br/) and Conpet (http://www.conpet.gov.br/) sites. The rules for 2007 may be found at site www.eletrobras.com/procel, where those interested may also enrol. The deadline for enrolment is June 31 and the awarding ceremony will take place in December.
