São Paulo – The Bank of Brazil posted a net profit of 5.076 billion Brazilian reals (US$ 2.8 billion) in the first half this year. The figure is 26.5% higher than the one recorded in the same period of last year.
In the second half, the net result was 2.725 billion reals (US$ 1.538 billion), representing growth of 15.9% over the first quarter of 2010 and of 16.1% over the same period of the previous year.
