São Paulo – Raw beef exports from Brazil increased in revenue and volume year-on-year in the first two weeks of April.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services, exports averaged USD 17.8 million a day in the first fortnight of April, up 9.8% from April 2017, when sales had come out to USD 16.2 million a day.
Shipped volume also grew, to 4,500 tons per day from 3,900 tons in April 2017 – a 14.9% increase. Prices dropped by 4.4%.
