São Paulo – In all 111 companies enrolled to participate at the 7th round of tender biddings for oil and natural gas exploitation areas organised by the Brazilian National Petroleum Agency (ANP). According to information from the ANP, 92 companies showed interest for the 17 small marginal fields offered in the northeastern Brazilian states of Bahia and Sergipe.
This is the first time the agency opens a bidding for small undertakings. According to the ANP, the tender committee will meet tomorrow (11) to stipulate which companies met the requirements to continue in the process. In all 1,134 exploration blocs around the country are being offered.
