São Paulo – Menswear stylists present their creations for Spring/Summer 2022 at Arab Fashion Week Men’s, which began this Monday (28) and runs until Wednesday (30) in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
Spring in the UAE goes from March to May and summer from June to August. The collections are being presented now to reach retailers and consumers in the region in 2022.
Arab Fashion Week Men’s for Spring/Summer 2022 is being held in a hybrid format. The brands showcase their collections over the internet, but some in-person activities occur in the Dubai Design District (d3).
Established and emerging stylists from countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, France, Sweden, and China participate. The Saudi newspaper Arab News website released information about some of the names that have already showcased their collections at Arab Fashion Week Men’s.
Todd Hessert
New York-based menswear designer Todd Hessert revealed the “Metahuman” collection for Spring/Summer 2022 at Arab Fashion Week Men’s in a futuristic virtual show. In the opening picture, a design presented at the event.
Amato
Amato is a brand by the Filipino Furne One. To showcase his fashion, he picked a black-and-white feature film called “Genesis,” starring Indian model Asim Riaz. The brand displayed some of its designs from the collection (pictured on the right) on its Instagram.
Zar Douz
Iranian Mohammad Amin Pour Eskandarian signs Zar Douz’s designs. The collection, inspired by water, was named “Imagination” and featured a catwalk on the shores of a rough sea.
Valette Studio
From Paris, Pierre-François Valette presented crochet designs, tunics, and loose blouses inspired by North Africa. He stated that to create it; he imagined a romantic traveler wearing pastel colors and coming from the desert. On the left, a press release picture of one of the designs.
EgonLab
EgonLab, also from France, is the brand for the creations of the duo Florentin Glémarec and Kévin Nompeix. At Arab Fashion Week Men’s, their initiative was to transport the public to the medieval era, its legends, and myths with the “EgonLab Dynasty” collection. Emergency Room Beirut
The brand from Lebanon presented a short film called “Neverland,” with part of the scenes in black and white and part in color, to display its collection dressed by some of the characters.
Arab Fashion Week Men’s is hosted by the d3 and the Arab Fashion Council. The first edition of the fashion show took place last year, and this is the second men’s fashion week. According to information released on the d3 website, the organizers’ goal is to consolidate Dubai as a center for talents and creative companies in the fashion area.
