Brasília – Today (12th) and tomorrow, the Brazilian capital Brasília is going to host the World Agricultural Forum (WAF), a traditional event in the United States that is being held in Latin America for the first time. The opening took place at 09:00 am at the Royal Tulip Hotel.
The meeting will be attended by authorities and private sector leaders, such as former presidents, former ministers, former senators, and representatives of the world’s leading agribusiness companies, who are going to discuss the role of the region in the challenge of doubling food production by 2050, as well as the global supply of fibres, biofuels and water.
Participants will include the former Brazilian minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Pratini de Moraes, and the former Argentinian secretary of Agriculture, Miguel Campos.
