Brasília – The head of the Institutional Safety Cabinet, minister Jorge Armando Félix, stated that tomorrow (10), the opening day of the Summit of South American – Arab Countries and day of arrival in Brazil of the largest number of international delegations, will be an optional holiday in Brazilian capital Brasília.
This decision was taken by country president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. "This is an important moment for the generation of closer commercial and cultural ties and Brazil, the host of the event, must work on maintaining safety," stated Félix.
The minister also stated that despite the inconveniences the summit may cause the population of Brasília, it will also bring a series of advantages to the city. One of these will be publicity of the Federal District, where the city is located, as well as the great occupation of the hotels in the city.
