São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce reported this Monday (9) that it chose to postpone the Brazil & Arab Countries Economic Forum, scheduled to take place on April 14, 2020 in São Paulo. The Chamber reported it will announce a new date soon and that the decision was made after careful analysis and consideration.
“This is the most responsible course of action in face of worldwide concerns regarding coronavirus, so as not to jeopardize the health and lives of staff, third parties, speakers, journalists, and eventgoers,” the Arab Chamber reported in a press release. It says it would like for it to take place in the second half of 2020, but only “once safe conditions are in place for an effective event, as was the case with past editions.”
The Brazil & Arab Countries Economic Forum is an international event that has established itself as the main event of meeting and discussions between Arabs and Brazilians ontheir economic relations and economies. In the last edition in 2018, around 800 people attended it. Over 1,000 participants from both Brazil and the Arab countries are expected in the next edition.
