São Paulo – The ambassador of Bahrain to Brasília, Bader Alhelaibi, met last Thursday (10) with the Minister of Citizenship of Brazil, João Roma. The two countries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on youth and sports matters, and Roma and Alhelaibi discussed how to activate and strengthen this cooperation. The agreement was signed at the end of last year, during Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro’s visit to Bahrain, when Brazil’s embassy was opened in Manama, the capital city of the Gulf country. Bolsonaro was received by King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa and, among other activities, participated in the Brazil-Bahrain Economic Cooperation Forum, organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
According to information on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, at the meeting with Alhelaibi, Roma expressed gratitude for the cooperation between the countries and said it was essential to advance in the development of mutual relations of cooperation in all fields, especially youth and sports.
The ambassador thanked the minister for constant support and interest in opening spaces for constructive and fruitful cooperation between the countries, especially youth and sports. Alhelaibi also spoke to Roma of his country’s desire to strengthen the existing collaboration and take it to new horizons in different fields.
