São Paulo – The Brazilian football team beat Iran by 3 to 0 in a friendly match played this Thursday (7th) in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This was the Brazilian team’s second match under coach Mano Menezes.
The goals at the Zayed Sports City stadium were scored by players Daniel Alves, Alexandre Pato and Nilmar. The first goal, 13 minutes into the match, resulted from a free kick by Daniel Alves. Alexandre Pato scored another goal 24 minutes into the second half, after receiving a pass from Elias.
Nilmar scored the Brazilian team’s third goal during stoppage time, at 46 minutes, off a pass from André Santos.
Before the end of the month, the team will play against Ukraine in Derby, in the United Kingdom. The match, which will be played on Monday (11th), will be the last in the series of two friendly games.
