São Paulo – The Brazilian Sitting Volleyball National Team is playing a friendly match against Egypt next Friday (4), in São Paulo. The admission-free game will be played at 5 pm in the Paralympic Training Center (Centro de Treinamento Paralímpico) as a preparation for the Sitting Volleyball World Championship from July 15 to 22 in the Hague, Netherlands.
The Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB, in the Portuguese acronym) said the game is a rematch-of-sorts of the third-place final from the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, which Egypt won. It will air live on TV via SportTV 3, as well as on Facebook and the CPB YouTube channel.
The match will be the final step in the Brazilian national team’s preparations for the World Championship. Brazil placed fourth in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and is currently second in the world ranking.
