São Paulo – Nineteen Brazilian producers of inputs and dentistry equipment are in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to participate in the International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition, which began on Tuesday (9) and ends on Thursday. The information was provided by the Brazilian Association of the Industry of Medical, Dental, Hospital and Laboratory Articles and Equipment (Abimo).
According to the organisation, this is the fourth time that a group of companies from Brazil exhibits at the fair. Apart from expanding business in the Middle East, the businessmen, according to Abimo, plan to make contact with importers from other regions who participated in the event.
“Apart from attracting visitors from all over the world, the meeting brings together buyers from the Arab nations and North Africa, two relevant consumer sectors for Brazilian exports,” said Abimo executive Hely Maestrello, according to a press statement by the organisation.
The Brazilian presence at the fair is the result of the Abimo partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The companies participating should negotiate US$ 6 million in business at the event.
According to the association, last year, dentistry sector exports generated US$ 70.4 million, and imports, US$ 45.8 million.
