Brasília – Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff said on Tuesday (19) that Brazil has built the most advanced social technology in the world. She spoke during the event for expansion of the Brasil sem Miséria (Brazil Free from Poverty) Programme through which 2.5 million families registered for the Bolsa Família programme will receive a complementary wage to increase the minimum income to R$ 70 per family member, considered the volume to leave the line of extreme poverty.
"A feat of this magnitude, with a country creating the capacity and competence to build the most advanced social technology in the world can only be celebrated,” said the president, regarding the single record established in 2003 to unify the government’s social programmes. Today’s action was released under slogan "The end of Extreme Poverty is Just the Beginning”.
Brasil sem Miséria, launched in 2012, according to Rousseff, represents improvement of this “technology”. “Brasil sem Miséria is now the most focussed, broadest and most modern social plan in the world. It is getting more and more vigorous, producing more and more results through its axis for income guarantee, productive inclusion and access to public services,” said the president.
