São Paulo – Brazil ran USD 55 million surplus in January, according to data published this Wednesday (6) by the Brazilian Central Bank. The balance is a result of the financial account, where the dollar inflow into the country surpassed the outflow in USD 522 million. In the commercial sector, a USD 497 million deficit was registered.
The financial account includes security investments, transfer of profits, dividends abroad, foreign direct investments, among other items; and the commercial one refers to exchange operations related to the foreign market.
