São Paulo – Brazil registered a trade surplus of USD 350 million in August’s first week, which had four business days. According to the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC), exports totaled USD 3.027 billion, with imports reaching USD 2.677 billion in the week.
Shipments’ daily average increased 2.5% in comparison to August of last year, while imports increased 19.8%.
Year-to-date, exports totaled USD 129.5 billion, with imports reaching USD 86.6 billion, resulting in a surplus of USD 42.9 billion for Brazil’s foreign trade.
