Rio de Janeiro – Brazil ran a USD 3.196 billion surplus in foreign oil, oil products and natural gas trade, the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported.
Oil trade showed a USD 8.847 billion surplus, the result of USD 7.177 billion in exports and USD 1.670 billion in imports.
Brazil ran a deficit in natural gas, which it imports and does not export. Through May 2018, USD 788 million worth of gas were imported, according to the ANP.
Trade in oil products showed a USD 3.191 billion deficit as a result of USD 5.820 billion in imports and USD 2.628 billion in exports.
