São Paulo – Brazilian companies that attended the Arab Health fair, held in Dubai between 26th and 29th January, closed almost US$ 1 million in deals. The results of the participation of the Brazilian companies in the event were released this Wednesday (04th) by the Brazilian Association of the Industry of Medical, Dentist, Hospital and Laboratories Equipment (Abimo, in the Portuguese acronym). According to the press release, the Brazilian companies have an estimate of receiving an additional US$ 21 million in orders in the next few months.
According to Abimo’s release, besides the deals done and the expectation for new business, the Brazilian companies established 2,983 new contacts with buyers from several countries from the region during the four days of the event. Among them are United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Lebanon. Besides these, they established contact with businesses from Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia and Nigeria, all of them non-Arab countries.
The press release states that the fair is able to attract importers from other regions and that this allows exporters to present their products to a lot of clients, thus reaching other markets. “We notice that the deals established during the Arab Health fair go way beyond the Middle East region, so the fair has become, for Brazilian exporters, a meeting place to talk to distributors from all around the world”, said in the release Abimo’s coordinator of trade promotion, Clara Porto.
The companies that participated in the event are affiliated with the Brazilian Health Devices project, carried out by Abimo in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
The enterprises featured at the fair were Atrasorb, Baumer, Biomecanica, Carci, Casex, CBEMED, Deltronix, DFV, Dorja, Drillermed, Fanem, GMI, GM Reis, Hospimetal, Hpbio, IBF, Ibramed, Impol, Inpromed, Instramed, Loktal, Lupetec, Magnamed, MDT, Medicone, MMO, Neoortho, NS, Olidef, Olsen, Osteomed, Phoenix, Russer, Samtronic, Schioppa, Sincron, Sismatec, Scitech, Spine Implantes, and Traumec, and representatives from Brazil’s Hospitalar fair and forum.
