Brasília – Brazil has been invited to take part in talks to discuss the future of Libya, the president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy said this Wednesday (24th).
The meeting, scheduled to take place on September 1st in Paris, will aim to discuss the country’s political situation now that the colonel Muamar Khadafi has been overthrown.
After a meeting with the leader of the Libyan National Transitional Council, Mahmud Jibril, Sarkozy stated that China, Russia and India, countries that comprise the group known as Bric alongside Brazil, have also been invited.
Furthermore, according to the French president, the nations that wre part of the military campaign against Khadafi have also been invited, as well as countries regarded by him as “friends to Libya.”
