São Paulo – Brazil will host the 2027 Fifa Women’s Football World Cup. The vote took place on Friday (17) at the 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Brazilian bid beat the joint bid of Belgium, Germany and Netherlands. Brazil, which has already hosted the Fifa Men’s Football World Cup twice, received 119 votes, while the Europeans received 78 votes.
Brazil was already given the best Fifa technical evaluation in February, which gave it a score of four out of possible five, against just 3.7 for the Belgium-Netherlands-Germany bid. The report made public in early May highlighted the stadiums and the federal government support.

“We knew we would be celebrating a victory for South American women’s soccer and for women,” said president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues.
2027 Calendar
The 2027 tournament run from June 24 through July 25. Brazil’s bid includes 10 stadiums used for the men’s World Cup in 2014, with Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã lined up for the opening match and final. Other stadiums are Neo Química Arena in São Paulo, Mané Garrincha in Brasília, Mineirão in Belo Horizonte, Casa de Apostas Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador, Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre, Arena da Amazônia in Manaus, Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá, Arena Castelão in Fortaleza, and Arena Pernambuco in São Lourenço da Mata.
Morocco
The Women’s Football World Cup 2027 will the 10th iteration of the tournament, with the latest edition in 2023 having taken place in Australia and New Zealand, which Spain won. The only Arab country to participate was Morocco. But the country didn’t reach the quarterfinals, nor did Brazil. As the host country, Brazil has its participation guaranteed in the World Cup it will host.
