São Paulo – Brazil should export about 105,000 tonnes of shrimps this year, due to the void in the market left by Thailand and India, countries hit by the tsunamis. The forecast is from the Brazilian Association of Shrimp Farmers (ABCC). Europe is the market with greatest potential to increase purchases.
On the 22nd and 26th of February the Brazilian companies will participate in business meetings with importers from Europe in the Convention Centre in the city of Natal, in the Northeast of Brazil, during the National Shrimp Trade Fair. The organisation of the meetings has the participation of the National Confederation of Industries (CNI), among other entities.
