Brasília – The Brazilian agribusiness sector should export goods worth a total US$35 billion in 2004, according to projections by the Agricultural Confederation (CNA). If that really happens, it will mean an increase of US$5 billion over last year.
In the first half of this year, sector exports reached US$18.4 billion, up 36% over the same period in 2003.
"Today the agribusiness sector accounts for 43% of Brazilian exports," says the head of the CNA foreign trade department, Antonion Donizeti Beraldo.
