The commissioning ceremony, to include Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, should take place at Anápolis Air Base, in the midwestern Brazilian state of Goiás.
The aircraft will replace the F-103 Mirage III aircraft that have been in use since the 1970s and were retired last year. The Air Force has informed that the investment was approximately 80 million euros (R$ 219 million) and includes maintenance and training of pilots and mechanics.
