São Paulo – International trading company Business Group, or IBG Trade, which operates in Brazil and the United Arab Emirates, will start exporting Beauty In products to Dubai. The beauty food company CEO is Cristiana Arcangeli, one of Brazil’s most powerful businesswomen. The first shipment is expected to arrive by air in the Gulf in January and will include products such as collagen powder and immunity chewable tablets.
According to Arcangeli, beauty foods are foods containing substances with cosmetic properties that benefit your skin and overall health. Besides nutrition, they can bring aesthetic benefits.
IBG Trade managing partner Davi Sierra told ANBA he intends to distribute the products first in the emirate, then across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He added he’ll gradually take other products by the company such as vitamin drinks, teas, and nutritious snacks, among others.
“Our goal is selling them to spas, supermarkets, pharmacies and e-commerce. We’ll start with some pallets by air to be faster, and the following shipments should go in containers,” Sierra said.
He said he met Arcangeli when his trading company brought the addictive-free snack line Hunter Foods from Dubai to Brazil and sent her some samples. “It was very fast. In October, we talked about me taking Beauty In products to Dubai and closed the partnership,” he said.
The IBG Trade partner realized that Dubai was a potential market for beauty foods as there is a demand for both health foods and cosmetics in the emirate, as well as many spas, the focus of the sales, Sierra said. Moreover, Beauty In products, according to him, have a competitive price and a higher quality than those in the emirate.
Beauty In already sent products to Kuwait in 2011, sells to the United Kingdom and plans on exporting to the United States, too.
Sierra started the company in Dubai last February. Besides Beauty In, he exports and distributes other Brazilian products such as coffee and jams to the Arab region, as well as grissini from Italy.
