Cairo – The 38th edition of the Cairo International Fair ends today (25) and the Brazilian businessmen who participated were unanimous in saying they plan to return next year. "This is the third time we participate in the Brazilian pavilion, there was an improvement in the quality of our interlocutors. More than in the other editions, the businessmen to whom we talked were important people. For this reason we are in the expectation of closing great business deals," said Henry Coronfly, representative of Sansuy, manufacturer of vinyl products.
According to him, the trade fair helped them realise that the Arab market offers increasingly great opportunities. "Therefore the number of products we will bring here, in the future, will be a lot greater", he stated.
The Brazilian pavilion, organised by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCAB) and by the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (Apex), as well as being much greater than in the previous editions, was set up in the central area of the event, which allowed it to receive a lot more visitors. In all, 11 Brazilian companies and representatives of sectorial entities participated.
The number of contacts established by each one of the participants was also high. At the CCAB stand about 300 trade contacts were registered. However, the representatives of food products were the most sought after.
For André de Fino, of the trading company Double Port of the southern state of Paraná, the fair was very productive, since, as well as the business contacts, he advanced with some deals. "It was the first time we participated in the Brazilian pavilion and the success we managed was enormous. We had more than 100 very serious contacts. We noted that our products are interesting for the Egyptian market and, therefore, we will have two distributors in Cairo: Tarek Trading and Fatema Trading, which belong to the same family," he said. "Apart from that, we have already received a first order in the sum of US$ 40,000, but I believe that in one year we can triplicate this value," he added.
