Brazilian chef takes Arab cuisine to the classroom
Chef Jorge Nascimento visited three Arab countries last year. In the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Lebanon, he went to restaurants, became acquainted with the markets and the idiosyncrasies of local cuisine. Nascimento puts the experience he acquired to use in the classes he gives in Gastronomy and Hotel Management courses at universities in the southernmost Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.
