São Paulo – The Consumer Confidence Index (ICC), measured by the Federation of Commerce of the State of São Paulo (FecomercioSP), fell by 3.5% in comparison to last December, and by 17.9% in relation to January 2013, reaching 131.7 points. The result is the lowest since March 2009, when the indicator measured 128.95 points. The scale that measures the ICC goes from zero to 200 points, where the higher the result, the greater is consumer confidence in the economy.

The index measured by the Federation of Commerce of São Paulo decreased by 3.5% in comparison to December and by 17.9% in relation to January 2013, reaching 131.7 points.
