Brasília – Brazilian exports in the second week of November were up 20.5%, compared to November 2002. The November trade surplus is running at US$553 million. For the year, the cumulative surplus is now at US$21.3 billion.
Imports were also up in November by 9.4%, compared to the same period last year. Imports of fertilizers were up 24.6%, mechanical equipment up 17.6%.
In the second week (10-16) of November, the Brazilian trade balance registered a US$ 553 million surplus. So far this year, the trade surplus comes to US$ 21.326 billion, with US$ 63.446 billion in exports and US$ 42.120 billion in imports.
