São Paulo – Brazilian exports of high and medium technology products totalled US$ 27.4 billion between January and September this year, presenting an increase of 33.5% when compared to the same period last year, according to figures supplied by the executive secretary of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Ivan Ramalho.
According to the study by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), connected to the Ministry of Development, participation of these products in the Brazilian trade basket rose from 29.3% to 31.6% in 2005.
Among the main items exported are equipment for railways and transport, equipment for radio, TV and communication, office and IT supplies, automotive vehicles and trailers and electric machinery and equipment.
