São Paulo – The Brazilian foreign minister Antonio Patriota will be in Jordan this Tuesday (16th) after visiting Israel and Palestine in the past three days. According to information from the Brazilian foreign ministry (Itamaraty), he will attend meetings with his Jordanian counterpart, Nasser Judeh, and with king Abdullah II.
The Ministry of Foreign Relations has added that there are opportunities for bilateral cooperation in agriculture, renewable energies, water resources, and social development.
Brazilian exports to Jordan stood at US$ 154.66 million from January to September, up 22.14% from the same period of last year, according to figures from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. The main items shipped were chicken, beef, sugar, maize, tobacco and coffee.
Brazilian imports of Jordanian products stood at US$ 1.757 million, up 94.62% using the same basis of comparison. Fertilizers were the main item shipped.
