São Paulo – Brazilian football player Igor Jesus, who plays for Shabab Al Ahli Dubai FC in the United Arab Emirates, was awarded in the Arab country this week. At age 20, he was elected best young player in the country’s national football league, Pro League UAE. Pictured above, Jesus (red jersey).
The awards ceremony for the 2020/2021 season took place on Monday (16), in Abu Dhabi, with the presence of authorities, according to the official local news agency, Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Not only players but others involved in the league were awarded. Jesus received the Golden Boy Award for the best young player born or resident in the UAE. The Golden Boy Award for the best Emirati young player went to Ali Saleh of Al Wasl FC.
Jesus was brought up by the junior categories of Coritiba FC, from the state of Paraná, Brazil. In 2019, he started playing for the Brazilian club’s main team. He left it in October last year to play for Shabab Al Ahli.
