Brasília – The government of Brazil wants to generate 200,000 new jobs in the tourism sector. Figures supplied in the Third Tourism Economic Bulletin show that businessmen in the sector are attuned to the government targets, as 63% believe in greater revenues in the coming three months.
According to minister of Tourism, Walfrido Mares Guia, there is already being growth in the sector. He attributed part of this good performance to the success of rural tourism. "Rural tourism is the area of tourism growing most worldwide. This is due to the fact that people live in busy cities. When they have some leisure time, they want to see nature. The attention we are paying to this sector is therefore very important," stated the minister.
