Brasília – Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) published this Wednesday (6) in Diário Oficial da União (DOU) decrees number 151 and 152, published in section 1, with a schedule of auctions to buy electric power from new enterprises and existing production to be held this year and the next two, in the period from 2019 to 2021.
The following auctions to buy new energy are predicted: in 2019, auction A-4 on June 27 and auction A-6 on September 26. For 2020, auction A-4 should be promoted on April 23 and auction A-6 on September 24. For 2021, auction A-4 is to be held on April 29 and auction A-6 on September 30.
To hire existing generation power, the estimated timeline says: in 2019, auctions A-1 and A-2 on December 6. For 2020, auctions predictions are auctions A-1 and A-2 on December 4; and 2021, auctions A-1 and A-2 on December 3rd.
