São Paulo – Brazilian motorcycle exports hit 5,786 units in September, up 18.8% year on year, when 4,8472 units were exported, Brazilian Association of Motorcycle, Moped, and Bicycle Manufacturers (Abraciclo) reported on Thursday (13).
Compared to August, however, exports were down 25.9%. Year to date through September, 43,670 units were exported, up 2.1% year on year. Abraciclo projects that 59,000 motorcycles will be exported throughout the year, up 10.3% compared to 2021.
Brazilian motorcycle production reached 139,622 units in September, down 4.3% month on month but up 28.2% year on year. This was the best performance for the month since 2013. Year to date, the industry manufactured 1,061,543 motorcycles, up 18.4% from a year ago.
