São Paulo – Brazilian oil and natural gas production reached a record in November, according to figures disclosed this Monday (27th) by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel Agency (ANP). Daily oil extraction reached 2.089 million barrels, and daily gas extraction reached 66.2 million cubic metres.
Oil production grew by 5.2% compared with November 2009 and by 4.6% compared with October this year, according to the ANP. In the case of gas, there was growth of 12% over November last year, and 2% over October 2010. Petrobras accounted for 91.2% of the total produced.
Petrobras informed, also today, that its oil and gas production in November, including domestic and foreign fields, reached 2.62 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
