São Paulo – Brazil produced a record volume of oil and natural gas in December 2010, according to figures disclosed on Friday (31) by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel Agency (ANP).
Oil production was 2.18 million barrels a day, growth of 4.4% over November. Daily extraction of natural gas was 69 million cubic metres, growth of 4.5% over the previous month.
In comparison with December 2009, according to the ANP, there was growth of 9.1% in production of oil and 14.5% in gas.
