São Paulo – The foreign investment balance for the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) was positive, closing at R$ 639 million (US$ 298.3 million at current exchange rates) during the first 20 days in October. The figure is a result of share purchases worth R$ 12.1 billion (US$ 5.6 billion) by foreigners, and of R$ 11,5 billion (US$ 5.3 billion) in sales. The data were provided by the Bovespa Website.
