São Paulo – The industrial fans and air conditioners produced by Tecsis, from the city of Sorocaba, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, have already reached the Middle East. The company exports to industries in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and is seeking new customers in the region. According to the manager in the company industrial ventilation department, Carlos Celmin, up to now the sales to the region were executed through two European companies: Hamon Group and SPX Cooling Technologies Belgium.
"We are also being contacted by some local agents interested in intermediating business," explained Celmin. Apart from the industrial cooling and ventilation systems, Tecsis also develops high technology equipment for the wind energy market. The blades produced by the company convert wind into electricity.
The manager believes that the company also has great chances of closing new deals in the area of wind energy. This is because, according to Celmin, wind generators are being implemented strongly all around the world. "Blades are fundamental elements in generator turbines, as their efficiency in capturing wind energy defines the efficiency of the system as a whole," he explained.
The company
Tecsis was established in 1995. After 11 years, the company has already gained recognition as one of the best independent producers of blades in the world and is the leader in the Brazilian industrial fan market.
The company currently has six industrial plants, all located in the city of Sorocaba, and they have 3,000 employees. In their 8,000 square metres of built area, Tecsis has a production line, a System Engineering Development Centre, with research and test laboratories and product certification centre. Turned mainly to the area of wind energy, the centre is responsible for the release of new products and improvement of existing products.
Today, 95% of company revenues come from exports. The main importer countries are the United States, Germany, France, Japan, Spain, England, Italy, Mexico, Canada, Belgium, Luxemburg and Holland. Their list of clients includes large companies like Siemens, Hamon Group, and Brazilian giants Companhia Vale do Rio Doce e Petrobras.
The highlight is wind energy. Tecsis exports hundreds of large-scale blades, with lengths of 25 metres, to the largest world producers of wind generators, like Zond Energy Systems, from the United States, and Enercon Gmbh and Tacke Windtechnik, from Germany.
