Brasília – Expenses of Brazilians abroad are still on the rise, according to figures disclosed by the Central Bank of Brazil (BC), disclosed today (25). From January to September, Brazilians spent US$ 11.468 billion abroad, against US$ 7.467 billion in the first nine months of 2009.
Foreigners spent US$ 4.322 billion in Brazil from January to September this year, against US$ 3.868 billion in the same period in 2009.
In September alone, Brazilians spent US$ 1.580 billion abroad, against US$ 1.053 billion in the same month in 2009. Expenses of foreigners in Brazil totalled US$ 454 million, in September, against US$ 401 million in the same period last year.
