Brasília – The Brazilian trade surplus from January until last week totalled US$ 20.448 million, growth of 18.7% over the same period last year (US$ 17.223 billion), according to figures supplied by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade and disclosed today (8th) in the Brazilian capital, Brasília.
In the first week of September, with four business days, the surplus was US$ 480 million. Exports during the period totalled US$ 2.738 billion and imports, US$ 2.258 billion. Exports per business day averaged at US$ 684.5 million, and imports, at US$ 564.5 million.
