São Paulo – During the month of March, Brazil produced 230,755 vehicles, 12.3% more than in February (205,534). In comparison to the same period last year there was an increase in 1.8%. During the quarter, the country manufactured 631,688 units, 7.8% more than last year (586,786).
The production of agricultural machines had an increase in 17.9% with 4,521 units, against 3,833 in February, but in comparison to March 2005 there was a drop in 12.2% (5,148). The quarter also presented a drop – 18.4% – with a production of 11,283. In the same period last year, the country had produced 13,822.
