São Paulo – A poll conducted by the travel website ViajaNet among 900 of its partner tourism companies shows that Morocco and Egypt are among the most sought-after destinations by Brazilians looking for a place to spend the New Year holidays. Arab countries Morocco and Egypt were respectively the third and fifth top sellers.
First on the ranking is Cancún, Mexico, with Orlando, United States as second. After Morocco, the fourth spot is Vienna, Austria. Following Egypt, the sixth on the list of Brazilian travellers is Paris, France. The list goes on with Bariloche, Argentina, Washington DC followed by Florida, both in the United States, and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
ViajaNet released press material highlighting the preference of Brazilians for Egypt, in North Africa. According to the website, the Egyptian capital, Cairo, boasts excellent infrastructure for visitors, with attractions like the Egyptian Museum and its collection of Antiquities. On New Year’s Eve, Viajanet recommends the fireworks on the banks of the River Nile, with folk dance and song performances.
